Great customer service

I had been shopping around and researching a repower on my 1986, 21 ft Robalo cuddy for a few years . I am the 2nd owner of this boat and have done a lot of retro fitting during the last 15 years of ownership . My old 2 stroke had a lot of hrs on her and was getting tired , noisy , and the wife and grand kids were complaining about the smell . Contacted Affordable and was suprised that someone responded back to me with a quote to my specs within a few hours. Went back and forth via email a couple of days and made the deal over the phone and did all the finance work (simple thru Tohatsu) by e mail . Went up to the shop a few days later introduced my self to the owner Jim and shook hands on the deal . I was told the engine (BFT225) had been ordered and would be in the following week . We discussed what my needs were and that my transom would quite likely need some work , which it did . The engine came in on time , the transom rebuild was completed as promised , and the rigging and install went on schedule . All work was completed within 3 weeks of drop off and it was the middle of the season (July) when started .

Gotta say I spent my money well as the money I saved purchasing my engine from Jim payed for the transom rebuild . Boat now has a new life , quite , unreal torque , awesome power thru all ranges , and I'm using almost half the fuel I used to . Wife and Grand kids are extremely happy with the re power which means more time on water for me . It works.

The only complaint I had was the propeller pitch was to small from the factory and Jim made good on that with no problem , exchanging it with the proper pitch propeller .

Everyone that I have met that works @ Affordable were extremely interested in my concerns and not just looking to make a sale . All of my follow up questions after delivery were answered , and explained with no problem , with genuine customer concern . All verbal agreements and discussions were taken care of as agreed upon . Nice to spend my money someplace where a mans word is still worth something , a handshake still closes a deal , and everyone winds up happy .

Jim and his team at Affordable Marine are truly the best. Highly professional, great service and price. I have had a boat serviced there for several years and have consistently received great service. Would not go any where else!!

Brought a couple older motors in to get water pumps done. Quick turnaround. One he even cleaned the carburetor at no charge. Great work.

But these guys are real pros - helpful and professional from the first step to the last. Island Girl is now back on the water and running great with her "new" motor. Thanks and cheers!
